Replacing residents with hundreds of terrifying life-size dolls can be terrifying. This is exactly what happened in Nagora, a small village in Shikoku, Japan, where creepy dolls by a local artist took the place of the people.

The town of Kolmanskop in the Namib Desert was once a thriving place for thirsty European diamond miners, but today all that remains are desert buildings slowly being swallowed up by the sand dunes.
