Girls from early childhood were very different characters. Elizabeth was right to the bone, appreciated cleanliness and order, honored tradition, and always followed the rules of etiquette. Margaret was its complete opposite, the society was often told that she is a real rebel. However, both girls are equally loved and treated them in the family on equal terms.
However, now Elizabeth was raised as the future Queen. And Margaret realized that the rest of her life she would have to be in the shadow of her elder sister, keep your distance and take after her bows.
Time passed, the sisters grew up, became more and more feminine and graceful. This is especially true of Margaret: growing up, the Princess turned into a real beauty! Fashion magazines are not allowed to pass, with requests to pose for their covers, and journalists often compared with the famous beauties of Hollywood.
And everything seems to be going on as usual, though, Margaret and feel insanely lonely. In 1952 the world girls though shaken from coronary thrombosis died her father, sister became Queen of great Britain and was very distanced from the family, and she Margaret sank into a deep depression from which she only managed to get a few months.
Margaret and Peter Townsend
In a sense, to overcome the emotional pain Margaret helped some stranger. In that period she began an affair with a young Royal air force captain Peter Townsend. It would seem that life is returning to normal, the case went to the marriage, but then Margaret was expecting another disappointment.
The whole Royal family were strongly against this marriage. And the problem was not even in position and age difference. Just Townsend was already divorced, and hence could not marry a Princess. Despite this, the novel pair was gaining momentum — Margaret hadn't even planned to abandon the man she loved! But suddenly Townsend was sent for service in Belgium where he was to hold for two years. It happened not without the help of Queen Elizabeth...
The family hoped that over time, while Townsend will be missing the feelings of Margaret to him quiet down. However, the right girl was waiting for him and was going to marry. Then in front of her an ultimatum: either she gets married and loses all Royal privileges, including the right to inherit the throne, or breaks all relations with the captain.
And if his relatives Margaret was able to persuade, the Church was opposed. The Princess had no choice but to make a difficult decision. Then she officially announced that broke off relations with the captain, saying that "must perform duty to the country."
After this life, Margaret went downhill. The Princess, as they say, had a ball. At the time she was a regular at London clubs, he never missed a party, drank a lot and talked to the rockers. And though the girl never went beyond what is permitted, soon about her "dissolute" lifestyle began to speak all around.

But now was unable to avoid scandal: the last time the Royal person were married to a commoner 450 years ago!
Still a couple allowed to get married. As expected, she was gorgeous! The event is even aired on TV. But to call their marriage happy is very difficult. Margaret and Anthony frequently argued, because of the very different characters of it was not easy to live under one roof. Even the birth of two children are unable to influence the situation after 18 years of marriage they decided to divorce.
Divorces in the Royal family were not welcome, so Margaret once again became a victim of universal criticism. At that time, the woman developed a deep interest in alcohol and cigarettes. In addition, the journalists wrote that she had an affair with a baronet, Roddy Llewellyn, and supposedly this was one of the reasons she broke up with her husband.
In the 90 years Margaret met with Peter — his first and maybe only love. It happened during lunch with Queen Elizabeth. Then the Princess noticed that Townsend has not changed, "except that gray appeared in her hair."
Since the 80-ies of Margaret had serious health problems. Not surprising: it was rumored that the Princess has smoked about 60 cigarettes a day!
But around it swirled a lot of rumors. And believe it or not — business of everyone. But now you see that neither a high position in society nor the money, nor the authorities can make a person happy!
Margaret has lived a fairly difficult life and died at the age of 71 from a stroke. Queen Elizabeth had long mourned sister, because, despite all the antics of Margaret, loved her very much. In 2005, about the late Princess released a documentary film called "Princess Margaret: A Love Story".
