Beauty, which was not destined to grow old, was considered one of the brightest stars of the early XX century. Her life ended on a cliffhanger, when it became known around the world. Beautiful and refined, the Austrian dancer who became famous far beyond the borders of their country, became a symbol of grace and artistry.

She studied ballet for ten years and made her debut with the Frankfurt Opera house at 8 years of age. In 1921, at the age of 16, she began performing in cabaret, and then touring and acting in films.

The actress soon became famous throughout Europe. She toured the UK, Germany and other countries, speaking brilliantly on the big stage. Beauty has starred in several films, including "der tiger von eschnapur" (1938), "the Indian tomb" (1938) and "Rio Star" (1940).

La Jana was married to a famous Opera singer Michael Bonina (Michael Bohnen), but it was said that before that she was romantically involved with William, the last Prince of the German Empire. Bright star life was tragically cut short at the peak of their fame. She died of pneumonia at the age of 35 years. Some sources claim that she helped to escape from Nazi Germany to fellow Jews, and was murdered by the Nazis.
