Anton sevrjugin (1830-1933) was the official photographer of the Imperial court of Iran, his Studio was one of the most successful in Tehran from the late 1870s years until 1934. His career coincided with a critical period in the modern history of Iran, the era of active influence on the Iranian culture of Western civilization, stretching from the reign of Nasser ad-DIN Shah (ruled 1848-1896 years) until Reza Shah Pahlavi (reign: 1925-1941).

One of the most famous photographers of the era of Qajar and Pahlavi became an Iranian citizen, Armenian Russian origin Anton sevrjugin, received the gold medal at the international exhibition in Brussels. All the pictures were taken in 1901.
