Who would have thought that in Thailand a dozen monkeys might approach you, and in the Japanese town of Nara, people live peacefully next to herds of deer?
Pictolic presents 10 of the most interesting places where you can meet such unusual "pigeons".

1. Rabbit Island, Japan.
The main attraction of the small island of Okunishima in Japan is its eared inhabitants, wild rabbits. Also known as Rabbit Island, this place is home to over 700 furry little creatures that roam freely around the area and enjoy interacting with people.
2. Flocks of sheep, New Zealand.
New Zealand is considered a paradise for dreamers and ... sheep. And this is no coincidence - only 4.4 million people live in the country, and the number of sheep reaches almost 34 million! That's about eight sheep per person!
3. Iguana farm, Honduras.
Roatan is a popular cruise ship port and one of the most interesting tourist attractions in Honduras. Its main attraction is the farm and park, where hundreds of iguanas roam the land and never miss an opportunity to beg for food from tourists.
4. Fox Village, Japan.
This wonderful oasis of foxes is called Zao Kitsune Mura, a small village and mini zoo where over a hundred foxes roam freely. Visitors are allowed to walk in the park without fear of animals, and they can even feed the little fluffy guys, observing some safety measures.
5. Wild parrots, Spain.
In Spain, there are also pigeons, but colorful wild parrots live with them, which love to eat from the hands of people. Looking at their brightly colored feathers, it is impossible to remain gloomy!
6. Monkeys, Thailand.
If you've ever been to Thailand, you've no doubt met a wild chimpanzee there, because these exotic little critters live everywhere in this country - from the deepest jungle to beaches, parks, and even city streets.
7. Island of cats, Japan.
The island of Tashiroima in Japan is home to a very small number of people, but its main inhabitants are cats. There are hundreds of them here. The islanders feed them fish and treat them well, but never keep animals as pets.
8. Wild Roosters, Hawaii.
The island of Kauai is a real paradise for chickens. Hunting them is prohibited unless they accidentally wander into private areas. Birds go wherever they please; chickens walk with chicks or hatch eggs, and roosters fight constantly.
9. Wildlife Park, Phillip Island.
This island is mostly known for its penguin colony of about 5,000 winged inhabitants. However, the rest of the place is quite diverse in terms of plants and animals. It is also home to wild Australian animals such as kangaroos.
10. Deer City, Japan.
The small Japanese town of Nara is actually overrun with deer; it is estimated that there are about 1200 of them. Most of them live in the park, but walking around the city is not uncommon. What's more, these sweet bullies are so brazen that they sometimes push people towards cracker vending machines.
