But, apparently, the girl will not be able to represent her country at this competition. First, the National Public Broadcasting Company of Ukraine (NOTU) banned her from doing this because of her tour in Russia, then the artist herself refused to sign the contract, as she considered its terms close to bondage.
Read more about this situation below.
Anna Korsun was born on February 15, 1992 in Pavlograd, Dnipropetrovsk region. From an early age, the girl is fond of music, although she is a certified radiophysicist by education. In 2013, Anna founded the group "The Pringlez" and won the Pepsi Stars of Now contest.
But the real popularity came to the girl after her participation in the show "The Voice of the Land" in 2014. Then all the mentors turned to the owner of amazing vocal data, but Anna gave her preference to the Russian singer Sergey Lazarev.
Now Anna Korsun is again overwhelmed by a wave of popularity. This time, the singer was able to win the National selection for Eurovision 2019. However, it seems that she will not be able to go to Tel Aviv to perform on the international song arena. At first, the girl was not wanted to enter the competition because of her tour in Russia, then because of "signs of politicization", but in the end Maruv herself did not sign a contract with NOTU.
Despite the fact that the girl promised to refuse any further performances on the territory of Russia, the NOTE put forward to her a number of outrageous demands and conditions close to bonded. For example, in the case of signing a contract, Maruv is prohibited from any improvisation on stage without the consent of NOTU and is prohibited from communicating with press representatives without the prior approval of the company.
In addition, the girl had to fulfill all the requirements of the NOTE, and if she refused, she had to pay a fine of UAH 2 million and additionally "compensation for losses".
In return, representatives of the TV and radio company offered the girl ... nothing.
The singer also stressed that she is not going to speak "with political slogans" and mix politics with art. Fans reacted to her decision with understanding, but they turned against the NOTE en masse.
Some fans of Maruv's work even suggested that she represent another country at Eurovision. But the girl said:
