She was called "Miss Manhattan" and the American Venus. In the 1910s, Audrey Manson was the most sought-after model in the world. Sculptures and paintings were sculpted from her, her images were minted on coins, and the US president of that time called Audrey the embodiment of America.

The world's first supermodel was born in 1891 and lived a long life — 104 years. She spent 65 of them in a psychiatric hospital.

Audrey spent her childhood in poverty. Luck smiled when a famous photographer noticed her walking down Broadway. Audrey was 15 years old. Her modeling career has taken off. The girl earned decent money, which she wasted.

The black streak began in 1919: a man fell in love with Audrey, from whom she rented an apartment. To marry a model, he killed his wife. He was caught, sentenced to death and fried in the electric chair.
