In the Czech Republic, Barbora was nicknamed "the werewolf girl" by Barbora Skrlova. This is because, by some miracle, for many years she managed to ingratiate herself with different families and manipulate them in every possible way. It got to the point that she convinced one “adoptive mother” to torture her own children ...

And, perhaps, the secret of Shkrlova would not have been revealed if one day she, pretending to be a boy Adam, did not decide to run away from another foster family. Read more about the life of this terrible person, as well as her victims, in our material.

In the photo below, Barbora Shkrlova looks like a frightened schoolgirl. But in fact, she is already over 30 years old. “How is this possible?” you ask. The reason is a rare genetic disease, due to which, at a young age, Barbora stopped growing, and she continued to look like a teenager no older than 12 years old.

Another reason Barbora looked so young was her gift for manipulating others. She had charisma and persuasiveness that allowed her to mislead people. The girl used her ability to avoid responsibility for her crimes. For many years, Shkrlova repeatedly managed to ingratiate herself with people by pretending to be an orphan and using those around her.

One of the main victims of Shkrlova was 31-year-old Klara Mauerova, a resident of the Czech city of Brno, raising her two sons alone. When she first met Barbora Shkrlova, she appeared before her in the form of a frightened 12-year-old orphan, Anichka, who had run away from an orphanage. The woman was so imbued with the story of the poor girl that she decided to let her into her house and was even going to officially adopt her.

An experienced manipulator, Barbora was able to win the trust of the family, and then decided to take advantage of the impressionability of the "new mother" and her unstable mental state. She began to extract money from the woman, claiming that she was very sick and needed constant treatment. The only truth in her words was that Barbora really was an orphan - her parents died many years ago. Everything else was a lie...

But the worst thing was what happened next - Barbora joined an authoritarian sect called the Grail Movement, which was ruled by a certain "Doctor". Its members practiced violence, sexual perversion and even cannibalism. Barbora also convinced her “adoptive mother”, an impressionable, easily suggestible and, as it turns out, ruthless, to join here.

Over time, Shkrlova began to inspire Clara with the idea that something was wrong with her own children. Allegedly, her sons - Jakub and Ondrei - are plotting something bad, so they need to be interrogated and punished. Then a new stage of "processing" Mauerova began, "Anichka" began to increasingly declare that Mauerova's own children offend and persecute her, and that their behavior worsens her health even more.

Mauerova began to severely punish her sons, and then completely locked them in the basement in a large cage. And to monitor their behavior, I put a baby monitor in the room. So two boys were locked up, they had no clothes, no food, no water. Children were tied to the bars of the cage and tortured in every possible way. According to some reports, the mother, carried away by cannibalism, cut off pieces of flesh from one of the children and ate them; extinguished cigarettes on the skin of her sons, beat them with belts and even tried to drown them. And Barbora Shkrlova helped her in every possible way.

Such inhuman treatment of unfortunate children was discovered quite by accident - at the end of May 2007, a neighbor installed a baby monitor for his newborn baby, and the device intercepted the signal from Mauerova's house. The man was shocked to see on the monitor how one of the victims, completely naked, was beaten and then tied to a cage with a chain. Then he immediately called the police.

Upon arriving at the scene, the police released the two brothers and, as it seemed to them, their 13-year-old sister "Anichka". Then the officers could not even think that a 34-year-old woman was standing in front of them. The mistress of the house and her sister Katerina (she also took part in the torture of children) were arrested, and the children were given medical assistance. However, despite the efforts of doctors, the younger brother, unfortunately, did not survive - he was too exhausted and exhausted.

During the investigation, the true identity of "Anichka" was revealed. It also turned out that Mauerova was not the first victim of Shkrlova in her attempts to pretend to be a child and find herself a “foster mother”. However, those people who had it before the naive Mauerova quickly figured out the scammer. Also, her early guardians ensured that the false teenager was placed in a mental hospital. But she somehow got out of the institution and seems to have become more careful in her actions, deciding to look for a less shrewd victim.

When the Czech police were about to arrest Barbra Shkrlova, it turned out that no one knew where she was, and that most likely the werewolf girl had already left the country. Somehow, Shkrlova managed to move first to Denmark, and then to Norway.

Once in Norway, the fraudster continued to pretend to be a child. This time she decided to pretend to be a boy to cover her tracks. To do this, it was enough to gain weight, change the hairstyle and put on baggy clothes. Now her name was Adam. In this form, she showed up at the Oslo orphanage and stated that her parents had died. There, the orphan was accepted without any questions, no one, apparently, even carried out a medical examination. And very soon "Adam" was adopted by a married couple.

After moving to a new family, "Adam" began to go to school and for several months successfully fooled teachers, classmates and, directly, foster parents. However, the boy behaved too strangely, because of which the representatives of the supervisory authorities had suspicions about him.

Then Shkrlova again decided to run away, and this was her mistake. When photos of “missing teenager Adam” were posted all over the country, he was quickly identified as a cunning swindler and sectarian involved in a terrible crime in the Czech Republic. So Barbora ended up in jail. True, after 5 years she was released due to a deterioration in her mental state.

Where Shkrlova is now, no one knows. One can only hope that she has not rubbed herself into the trust of some family again.

In 2009, the horror film Child of Darkness, directed by Jaume Colle-Serra, was released, telling how a 33-year-old woman with a very rare disease that made her look like a 9-year-old girl, pretended to be an innocent child, and then began to kill of people.
