The story of "Princess Manuella" — the only daughter of Pablo Escobar

History knows many examples when the most notorious scoundrels were exemplary caring fathers who doted on their offspring. A good example of such paternal love is the Colombian drug lord Pablo Escobar. The man who controlled the supply of 90 percent of cocaine in the United States and eliminated unwanted people without hesitation, reverently loved his only daughter Manuella, whom he called "the little princess".

Being the daughter of the most wanted drug dealer on the planet is not easy at all. Manuella felt this from the moment of birth — she was born in 1984 not in Colombia, where her parents are from, and in Panama. Escobar sent his pregnant wife Maria Victoria there, since it was extremely dangerous for her to be in her homeland.

However, it is impossible to say that Manuella experienced any hardships in her life. As soon as she was born, she became her father's main treasure. On the web, you can easily find a lot of family photos in which a formidable gangster holds his baby in his arms. He fulfilled any whim of his la princesa, even if they went against reality.

Escobar had his own menagerie, where animals from all over the world were kept, even hippos, giraffes and elephants. But one day Manuella wanted to get a unicorn for her birthday. Of course, these animals do not exist in nature, but this did not confuse Papa Pablo. He ordered to take a white horse from the stable, attach a horn to its head, and sew fake wings to its back.

Everything looked very realistic and the baby was happy.  And the fact that after the performance the animal, worth the whole mansion, died, did not bother the loving father at all. Escobar paid his daughter a million dollars for each baby tooth that fell out, and her birthdays were more similar in scope to festive events in a small town.

One day Escobar had to go into hiding with his daughter. They spent the night at an abandoned farm in the mountains near Medellin. Since the girl was frozen, her father spent the whole night heating the stove in the hut... with bundles of dollars. They say at least two million were burned by morning. For the sake of his princess, he escaped from the fashionable La Pulpit prison, which eventually led to his death.

Pablo Escobar was killed by police during a chase on December 2, 1993. Manuella was only 8 years old when she, her mother and older brother were forced to flee the country. After a series of misadventures, the drug lord's family settled in Argentina. It was the only country in the Western Hemisphere that wanted to shelter the relatives of an international criminal.

In a foreign country, Manuella Escobar was not welcome in any school. Therefore, the girl had to change her first and last name. In class, she was known as Juana Manuella Marroquin Santos. She lived the inconspicuous life of a simple Argentine girl until 1999.

Everything was ruined by her mother and brother, who tried to pull off dirty money laundering deals in their new homeland. Mom and son went to jail, and Manuella's identity was revealed. In order to avoid unnecessary attention from journalists and especially former opponents of her father, the girl was forced to switch to home schooling.

It is believed that Manuella became the main heiress of her father's capital, which amounted to $ 20 billion. The exact amount after the confiscation of part of the money by the Colombian authorities is unknown, but it is certainly impressive. But along with the cocaine money, the "princess" and her brother Juan Pablo got a lot of sorrows. The drug lord's son once told the press the following:

Manuella Escobar is now 38 years old. She lives an inconspicuous life in the capital of Argentina, Buenos Aires, and is not even registered in social networks. All accounts signed with her name are fakes created by people greedy for someone else's fame.

However, some journalists assure that Manuella left Argentina a long time ago. It seems she settled in the USA, in the state of North Carolina. There, a woman allegedly works as an ordinary engineer in an energy company. She is the only person in the Escobar family who has never broken the law.

Manuella's older brother leads a completely different lifestyle. He not only wrote a book about his father, but also took part in the filming of a documentary about his life. Juan Pablo even created a clothing brand "Escobar Henao". Items from his collections are decorated with portraits of a drug lord, weapons, money and all sorts of gangster attributes.
