The King of Thailand married a general (for the second time in a year)

The King of Thailand, Maha Vachiralongkon (Rama X), remarried at the age of 67. No, the godlike monarch did not divorce his wife, with whom he married in May of this year. Just a loving, youthful grandfather restored the ancient custom according to which the kings of Siam could have a second consort wife.

The marriage, concluded in the spring of 2019, was the fourth on Rama X's account. His chosen one was General Suthide Vachiralongkorn, who headed the protection of the first person of the state. A new 34-year-old consort wife, who is more correctly called an official concubine, with the same difficult name Sininat Vongvajirapakdi, also a general, only from aviation.

Sininat was born in 1985 and graduated from the Royal Army Nursing School after high school. It is not clear how this is connected with aviation, but everyone can visit the official royal website and read there the biography of the royal concubine on 40 pages.

It is not difficult to become a general or even a marshal in Rama X. As a typical example of a lightning-fast career without any special education, one can cite the appointment by the king of his dwarf poodle Fu Fu as an air marshal. Therefore, a beautiful girl, and even the mistress of a royal person, is simply stupid not to be a general of any kind of troops.

It is difficult to say why the monarch decided to restore the institution of concubines, because before that his passions were simply content with the title of an ordinary royal mistress. The last time an official consort wife was honored in the palace was 100 years ago.

In the pictures, a woman poses in national clothes, participates in a military parade, controls a military helicopter, participates in exercises. The interest of users in the beautiful royal pilot was so great that after the publication of the pictures, the monarch's website fell, unable to withstand the load.

According to the palace hierarchy, the second wife is lower in rank than the first, so the 40-year-old bodyguard general Suthida Vachiralongkorn is called the queen. Interestingly, despite the marriage with Rama X, both women retained their military ranks, and the second wife even remains assigned to her military unit.

King Maha Vachiralongkon (Rama X) ascended the throne in December 2016, after the death of his father, Bhumibol Adulyadej. The monarch, like his new wife, is a military pilot and even took part in combat operations against communist rebels in the north of the country.
