A British criminal convicted of burglary has been released under an amnesty. Instead of correcting himself and leading a decent lifestyle, he went all out and began to rape and abuse adults and children. In two weeks on the outside, the monster abused dozens of victims in several cities. Find out how the police managed to catch him and send him to jail again, from our article. The perpetrator raped and abducted 11 people, including an 11-year-old boy, within two weeks after he was mistakenly released from prison.
34-year-old maniac Joseph McCann changed wigs, told the victims that he loved them, and that they were undergoing a "gypsy rite of passage."
He was accidentally released in February 2019, having served only half of his sentence in prison, where he served a three-year sentence for burglary.
The Justice Department has launched an investigation to find out why McCann was not sent to jail after committing another burglary after his release in 2008. At that time, the criminal was serving time for robbery with aggravating circumstances.
The Early Release Commission was unable to assess whether the prisoner was adequate for release. Thus, the maniac got the green light to commit terrible crimes.
The maniac abducted the victims right on the street, threatened them with a knife, and then raped them in a rough form for several hours. A 17-year-old girl jumped out of a second-floor window, fearing that she would be sold abroad, after McCann raped her and her 11-year-old brother. The mother of a teenage monster tied up and forced to listen to the screams of children while bullying them.
McCann has now been found guilty of 37 crimes, including the rape of children under 13, as well as kidnapping and sexual assault against 11 people. The victims ranged in age from 11 to 71, and the crimes were committed on the territory of five police stations during a two—week period - from April 20 to May 5.
The jury took 7.5 minutes to reach a decision on all cases after a 4-hour meeting. The maniac's life sentence will be announced on December 9. McCann refused to attend the court hearing and remained lying under a blanket on the floor in his cell.
The shocking number of victims of the criminal made the monster one of the most terrible sexual maniacs in the UK. He pleaded guilty to a number of other crimes, including violence against four women. The police believe that McCann committed more than a hundred rapes and sexual crimes against residents of London.
A series of rapes began on April 21, when a maniac, threatening with a knife, dragged a 21-year-old woman who was returning from a nightclub into his car. They came to the girl's house, and the maniac raped the unfortunate woman in the bedroom, while her son was sleeping in the next room. The victim went to the police and told about the attack, and the cops started looking for the perpetrator.
Three days later, a pervert kidnapped a 25-year-old girl near the station in Walthamstow. He abused the victim for 14 hours. The next were a 21-year-old resident of Edgware, along with her younger sister. The girl managed to escape at first, but then the inhuman dragged her back into the car and forced her to have sex with her older sister. The nightmare ended when a 25-year-old girl hit the criminal on the head with a bottle of vodka at a hotel in Watford, where he wanted to stay with her overnight. The police put on the wanted list for McCann and promised 20,000 pounds (about 1.7 million rubles) for information about the maniac.
Despite the persecution, the psychopath continued his heinous atrocities. On May 5, he attacked a woman, tied her up and raped her two children. The girl who jumped out of the window was able to crawl with a broken leg to the relatives' house and tell about what happened.
After that, McCann headed to Ramsbottom, where he attacked a 71-year-old pensioner who was loading packages into a car near a supermarket. He raped her at a construction site nearby and forced her to pick up a 13-year-old girl on the way. The maniac spoke to the teenager about love, at the same time threatening. The victims managed to escape by car when the criminal briefly left at the gas station.
The monster continued to rampage, heading into Congleton. There he caught two 14-year-old girls and, threatening to chop them to pieces with a machete, forced them to get into his car. On the way, the police noticed him and began a chase. The maniac tried to escape and crashed into a Mercedes at an intersection.
McCann abandoned the car with two teenagers inside and tried to escape. Surveillance cameras recorded how he entered the courtyard of the house, grabbed clothes that were drying on a clothesline. Then the criminal slipped into a taxi near the restaurant.
In the end, the police managed to catch up with the maniac and remove him from the tree on which he was hiding among the dense foliage. It took the cops five hours to find the culprit. The accused refused to attend the trial during the hearing of his case. The judges and the jury found no justification for his terrible atrocities and awarded the highest penalty under British law. It is reported that the psychopath had six accomplices who helped him escape justice.
McCann was found guilty of ten counts of unlawful imprisonment, seven rapes, one case of sexual abuse of a child, two cases of forced sex without consent and seven kidnappings. In addition, several other sexual crimes were named, which were also taken into account during sentencing.
The monster managed to be put in a cage. But will those who mistakenly released him be punished? Due to the negligence of officials, dozens of people have experienced a living hell. Will justice prevail in this case? We hope that all the perpetrators will be punished.
Unfortunately, often bloodthirsty monsters in human form manage to escape punishment. The case of a serial killer from South Korea, over which the best detectives have been fighting for 33 years, has finally been solved. But no matter how much the authorities of the country want to bring the maniac to account, they are powerless.
