The Beastie Boys band played as an opening act for her — it would seem an excellent choice for stadium concerts, where, presumably, young girls and their parents were supposed to come down in a crowd. But in fact, after the first few concerts, Madonna's manager wanted to fire the Beastie Boys, but Madonna stood up for them, and eventually they continued the tour.
