"Pack your bags, Westeros is waiting!": HBO will give tourists access to the set of Game of Thrones

How many fans of George Martin's creation dreamed of visiting Winterfell? And in Riverrun? HBO will provide such an opportunity. If earlier favorite landscapes and castles could be seen only on screens, now they are open to the public.

By the New year, all the filming sites in Northern Ireland will be open to the public. The details of this tour, as well as its cost and conditions, are still unknown. One thing is for sure – fans will pay any money to have a coffee in the Winterfell Grove or walk along the Royal Highway!

It's no secret that the filming of the series "Game of Thrones" based on the series of books by George Martin "A Song of Ice and Fire" has already been completed.

Yes, the 2019 season will be the final one and will put a bold end to the epic that tells about the fate of the Houses of Westeros.

This fort can be seen in the scenes with Brienne and Jaime, as well as during the show of the bet of Robb Stark, King of the North. 

Of course, if you do not take seriously the rumors about a possible prequel, this means the end of the Martin saga for many viewers who do not want to reread or wait for new books from the writer.

HBO does not agree with this state of affairs and wants to make a huge gift to all fans of the project – the opportunity to openly visit the filming sites in Northern Ireland and turn them into amusement parks.

Castle Ward became the main filming location for scenes in Winterfell. Its main tower can be seen if you carefully consider the nest of the Starks from the series. 

This means that all locations used to display the ancestral nest of the Winterfell Starks, Tully Riverrun Castle, King's Highway, Black Castle, King's Harbor will be open to the audience.

And this is the shooting of Riverrun, the nest of the House of Tully, where the wife of Nedd Stark, whose role was played by Sean Bean, comes from. 

If earlier it was possible to enter the pavilions exclusively by stealth, now it will be enough to pay for the entrance and literally "touch" the story.

It is quite possible that fans will also get access to the archives of the filming. This is almost 10 years of hard work.

The tour includes visits to Ward Castle, Magheramorn, Banbridge, and Dark Hedges Grove.

The world—famous tunnel in the Dark Hedges Grove is the Royal Highway. 

However, details about how everything will be organized and how much the tour will cost are still unknown.
