But he himself does not like this formulation. Kashavelsky says his art is based on realism, shrouded in elements of mystery. You can’t say more precisely, because the images in the master’s paintings are very realistic, but at the same time they are presented mysteriously and unusually.
Sinisa Kashavelski was born in the city of Kumanovo in North Macedonia in 1969. Like most talented artists, he began drawing as a child. After school, he graduated from the College of Applied Arts in Skopje and immediately set out on his own.
Kashavelsky’s works, even at the early stage of his work, were so good that they were willingly bought. Connoisseurs of his work live in Macedonia, Germany, Greece, the USA, Spain and Russia.
The artist received his first serious award in 1998 at an exhibition in Skopje. Then there were victories in Paris, Athens, London and Vienna. Several paintings by his brush were acquired by Macedonian museums.
Sinisha Kashavelsky is engaged not only in painting. He painted the ceilings of the National Theater in Skopje and created several wall frescoes in different cities of Macedonia. By the way, he doesn’t even paint pictures always on canvas. Some works are painted on boards, using the traditional Byzantine icon painting technique.
The artist considers independence to be an important condition for the creative process. Therefore, he never signed contracts with advertising agencies and book publications, like many of his colleagues. Kashavelsky remains a free artist and, having the opportunity to live and work in any country in the world, remains faithful to his country.
If you liked the paintings of Sinisha Kashavelsky, then you will certainly appreciate the works of another master of surrealism - the American artist Alexandra Manukyan.
