Looks like the biggest abandoned skyscraper in the world

The Bangkok Sathorn by as much as 49 floors and 185 metres, stands one of the most famous abandoned buildings in the city — a Unique tower Itor (Sathorn Unique). In the early 1990-x years, Thailand experienced a major economic expansion in its history. In this time of abundance, Bangkok has started to show its stability, building a tall building.

Next came the Asian financial crisis of 1997 and the economic success of Thailand has ceased and the money worthless overnight. In 1993 because of the dispute, a settlement which lasted for fifteen years, Rangsan was arrested on charges of plotting the assassination of the President of the Supreme court Pramaṇa Kansui (Praman Chansue) (murder did not take place). Rangsan was convicted in 2008, but in 2010 was acquitted by the court of appeal. Most of these buildings (among them the state tower) was gradually completed as the recovery of the economy, but the Unique tower Itor remains among the dozen from a small unfinished "towers Ghost" of Bangkok, despite the negotiations and refinancing, which involved the son Rangana Pansit Torsvan, who joined the firm Angsana in 2004. This was largely due to the fact that Rangsan instead of having to declare bankruptcy and dissolution of the company, insisted that the project will be sold only at a price that would fully recover the cost of the initial buyers of the building.

Style Rangsan was described as "jubilant postmodernism, architectural substitution, in which epochs and styles fused together without any signs of restraint."

As in similar buildings, state tower, the Unique design of the tower Itor you'll be using the neo-Greek elements, especially in the columns and balconies. While the construction of the main frame of the building has been basically completed (estimated to be completed by 80-90 percent) and the overall design of the building is considered safe, interior decoration and design of the infrastructure has barely begun before the termination of construction, and the walls and structural parts, especially in the upper levels, also remain unfinished.

Perhaps, today Bangkok has more abandoned buildings than any other city in the world. The financial crisis has done its job. But today, 15 years later, the Thai economy recovered and was built and is still built a lot of pretty and glittering skyscrapers.
