Franz Fiedler (1885 — 1956) was a German photographer who is considered the most eccentric among his contemporaries. He has received numerous awards at international exhibitions and competitions photography. Creative activities Fiedler took place mainly in Germany.
The photographer was one of the first who started to use a Leica. A sharp turn in his career occurred after the exhibition photo series "Die Neue Sachlichkeit" in which he demonstrated the new principles of photography.
In 1945, the Studio Fiedler was destroyed, but he managed to recover and continued to work in the GDR. Franz wrote several books on art photography.
