"People often ask me what my photos I think is best. My answer: the ones I make tomorrow."

Mark Ribot (Marc Riboud) was 14 years old when he first picked up a camera — an old Kodak of his father. This camera gave the first impetus to the passion that he has carried through life. An engineer by training, Marc Ribot at the beginning of his career, took a week off to take pictures theatre festival in Lyon. These seven days was enough: he never returned to his former place of work.

This famous photo of Marc Riboud, taken in Washington during a protest against the war in Vietnam, is etched in our memories in black and white. It took more than thirty years to discover color. It is by no means a colorization. Marc had forgotten that he had used another box loaded with color film. Now, we know that the flower in the picture is pink.
