In some countries, the standard of living of the ordinary population is so low that young women have little choice but to "sell" themselves. Among these countries, the most striking example is Bangladesh, where the "sale" of the female body has become legalized.

1. The brothel "Kandapara" has existed for about 200 years. Through its walls passed 1000 girls of all ages, with ruined life and destiny. In 2014, activists tried to destroy it, after which it ceased to exist for several years, but this did not improve the life of the female population at all.

Many young girls have lived in "Kandapar" since birth and literally ended up on the street after a temporary closure. They were simply evicted from the brothel, depriving even a roof over their heads and food.

2. As a result, this only aggravated the situation, and it was decided to restore the house and return the girls to it. Now the whole area around it is surrounded by a huge wall, and in fact, "Kandapara" has become a small state with its own rules and laws.

Girls from the street most often find themselves in the first job in their lives from the age of 14. They are called enslaving - as they are sold by slave traders, redeeming them from poor families. They are absolutely powerless and must obey a certain Madame in everything, working for 5 years for free in order to redeem themselves and pay off all debts.

3. After these years, they become free and have the right to leave the brothel. However, few people do it. Free girls receive a salary, they are given good clothes and food, and if necessary, they are treated by a doctor.

For most people in poor Bangladesh, even an extra piece of bread is already a luxury, so girls consider such conditions almost heavenly. The girls admit that not only poverty awaits them at home, but also dependence on their husbands, who may turn out to be a tyrant. And so, they can honestly work out their freedom.

4. In addition, not all customers come for pleasure. Some simply need communication, and they visit the same girls who replace psychologists for them.

In "Kandapar" many girls give birth to children who also grow up well-fed and dressed. Teenagers begin to work off their bread by dancing for clients, and at the age of 14-15, they begin to work fully.

5. It is worth noting that many girls in Bangladesh are really afraid of the institution of marriage. Polygamy is also officially allowed in this country, so men get 4-5 wives, each of which is forced to work, feed her husband, and please. They cannot complain, a man has the right to command his wife.

Even in the capital of Bangladesh - Dhaka, the situation is no better than in remote cities. There are no traffic rules, many people live in houses that look more like makeshift huts.

6. Barefoot children run restlessly through the streets, and their mothers with doomed eyes work from morning to night so that they do not starve too much. In such conditions of life, one has to agree to any conditions for the sake of survival, because there is also not enough work for everyone, and this leads to sad consequences.
