Floating Modern Architecture

The design studio Zaha Hadid Architects, which continues the legacy of the legendary name of modern architecture, Zaha Hadid, has this time signed a yacht that will be exhibited at Milan Design Week in the coming days.

The name of this concept yacht, which will be built at the Rossinavi shipyard in Italy, is Oneiric. Oneiric also has a remarkable feature from the magnificent appearance of Zaha Hadid's signature curvy body. And that's because it's covered with solar panels, so it's a green yacht that gets all its power from its electric motor for daily sea voyages. The 42-metre catamaran also emits almost 40 tons less carbon dioxide than a conventional boat, as it can sail on longer journeys with its all-electric motor 70 percent of the time. Another advantage of the electric mode, apart from being environmentally friendly, is its silence while cruising and thus providing its passengers with a serene journey.

Oneiric, designed by Zaha Hadid Architects both inside and outside, has curvy lines as we have just mentioned. These lines make you feel the fluidity and dynamism of the ocean waves in every corner of the yacht. Curves and reflective surfaces penetrate the yacht from the outside into the interior, eliminating the boundaries between the boat and the sea.

On the main deck there is a lounge with a bar and comfortable seating. This opens onto a second deck with a jacuzzi and steps leading down to the sea. The bow cabin is next to the main saloon and has a curved window that offers 180-degree views of the sea. Above the main deck will be a canopy rest area covered with solar panels. Four guest rooms are located on the lower floor of this. The visual and tactile characteristics of all materials used in the yacht were also chosen to create an inclusive atmosphere that emphasizes the fluidity of its design.
