By Pictolic https://pictolic.com/article/faces-of-decommunization-darth-lenin-bell-pepper-and-the-hydra-of-revolution.htmlThe fruits of a Pyrrhic victory, triumphantly walking in Europe, best seen in Ukraine. A massive fight with a Gun in the cities and villages of the country left behind thousands inside out and painted pedestals. However, somewhere decided to come up and reforge the leaders of the world revolution at the characters, enjoy in a given historical epoch demand.
Very creative approach to the de-the inhabitants of the village Train near Odessa. There is a monument to Vladimir Lenin modernized beyond recognition, turning it into an abstract... a person of Bulgarian nationality. According to the author the figure to symbolize a migrant from Bulgaria who settled in the hospitable Odessa land.
To change the nationality of the leader, he was dressed in a Flirty vest and Postol, and hand inserted the vine. But the most eye-catching element of the composition was the headdress of the immigrant, who, as they say evil tongues, was built of the usual bucket.
The first shared photos of alterations activist "Decommunization.Ukraine" Vadim Pozdnyakov. He posted pictures "before" and "after" on its Facebook page, and briefly commented on them. According to Vadim, in Ukraine there are only two of Lenin in its original form in the villages kalchevaya Gorodnov and in the Odessa region. But, most likely, turn to dressing up will soon reach them.
Before that, there were press photos of the alterations in another Ukrainian village, Novoalekseevka, Zaporizhia region. There standing Lenin in the main square of the village, dressed in the Cossack Hetman Pylyp Orlyk, the Creator of the first Ukrainian Constitution.
Got my hands on the only surviving Lenin Odessa, which in 2015 was turned into Darth Vader. The monument stood in the territory of the plant "Pressmash" and was made from gypsum. Odessa artist Alexander Milov came up with two good ideas is to transform a monument to the hero of the Saga "Star wars", and to force him to do something with my life. In the head of Darth Vader has built the equipment, handing out Wi-Fi around the monument is always full of people with gadgets.
But in Romanian Bucharest in 2012, Lenin changed even more radically. There he was made... the multi-headed Hydra, with roses instead of goals. Artist Costin Ionita tried to glory — his creation in the dark may scare the unprepared visitor to the capital. The author argues that many-headed leader symbolizes the lack of people in the country of interest in any area of politics.
But in order to dekommunizirovat a monument is not necessarily to change it. Already known for his love of the Bulgarian Diaspora in Odessa region simply transformed the monument to Karl Marx. On the bust of the author of the "Capital" simply replaced the plate and turned it thus in the of the Bulgarian national hero and poet Hristo Botev.
It is difficult to say whether there is a person in the world, which has more monuments than to Lenin? They come across travellers in the most unexpected places.
