"Disco dancer" Mithun Chakraborty adopted a girl from a garbage dump, and she grew up a beauty

Even if you did not catch the triumph of the Indian film "Disco Dancer", which fell in the second half of the 80s, you will surely begin to respect the actor who played the main role in this film after our story. Mithun Chakraborty adopted a girl in the late 90s, who was... thrown into a dumpster by her parents. This story is as dramatic as most Bollywood films, but it also traditionally ends happily.

It would seem that there is nothing special here, because stars often adopt orphans and tirelessly talk about it in interviews and talk shows. But in the case of the Indian macho Mithun Chakraborty, everything was different. The movie star did not do PR on his act and very few people knew about it.

In the late 90s, Chakraborty was watching TV in the evening and a terrible plot attracted his attention. A passerby found a little girl in a dumpster, which, like garbage, was thrown there by her parents. He took the child to the hospital, where doctors managed to save the emaciated baby, who was on the verge of life and death.

The day after the story was released, in the early morning, a luxury car of Chakraborty, the highest – paid and most beloved actor in India, was already standing at the door of the clinic. Together with his wife Yogita Bali, he came to the hospital and said that he was ready to adopt a girl found in the garbage. But it turned out that even for a person of his level, it was not easy to solve this issue.

Before the actor and his wife gave the child, they had to go through a lot of instances, fill out mountains of papers and face a motherly bureaucracy. But this story, as you may have guessed, has a happy ending, and a few weeks later Mithun and Yogita were able to take the baby to her new home.

The girl was named Dishani (Dishani) and she became the only daughter in a family where three sons were already growing up. Although Dishani knew that she was not her own daughter, she never felt special treatment for herself – she was loved as a native, and spoiled even more than boys. She had everything she wanted and the girl grew up like a real princess.

No one knows who Dishani's real parents were, who left her to die among the garbage. What was waiting for her, an emaciated child, one of the millions of orphans in India? Shelter, poverty, starvation, death? But the girl pulled out a lucky ticket several times – when she was found still alive, when doctors managed to save her, and when she became a member of one of the most famous families in the country.

Chakraborty himself was not born famous and rich. His father is a simple employee of a telephone company, and his mother is a housewife. Besides him, three sisters grew up in the family and there was always not enough money. The actor changed many professions and was even... a terrorist and a fugitive from justice. It is much easier for a person with such a fate to understand the life of poor people than for those who grew up in satiety and prosperity.

I must say that Dishani does not let her foster parents down. She grew up a kind, hardworking, intelligent and very beautiful girl. Now the adopted daughter of Mithun Chakraborty is 23 years old and she is a student of the New York School of Acting.

How could it be otherwise, because the girl grew up in an environment of creative and enthusiastic people, and her playground often became a film set, in between takes of her father's films.
