For three months it was visited by 485 thousand people - almost the same number visited the Pushkin Museum, when in the late fifties there was an exhibition of the Dresden Gallery.
In order to see the works of the famous Russian portrait painter, people stood in queues for many hours, and in the last week they even broke down the door to the exhibition. After this incident, the Ministry of Emergency Situations organized hot meals at the queue, heating points and began to provide psychological assistance to those standing in line.
"Yod" asked the artist Danny Berkovsky to imagine what the queue for Serov could look like in the interpretation of Malevich, Dali, Bosch and other artists.
