The Spaniard mastered the art of crushing stones
Categories: Design and Architecture
By Pictolic https://pictolic.com/article/the-spaniard-mastered-the-art-of-crushing-stones.htmlSpanish sculptor José Manuel Castro López is not afraid to experiment and create amazing works that turn ideas about familiar things upside down. In his hands, skillfully carved from quartz and granite, the sculptures create an amazing illusion, as if they were created from plasticine.
The master himself assures that he feels more like a druid than a sculptor, trying to find a common language with the stone and breathe life into it. In addition, Jose does not come up with a composition for his works in advance, but only when he sees the stone itself.
We are very impressed by these unusual works and invite you to take a closer look at them with us.
