When selecting actors for a biographical role, the director walks a fine line between outwardly similar performers and actors who have the necessary talent to convey the idea. In particularly successful cases, these two aspects coincide, and then we see beautiful actors who bring historical characters to life on the screen.

The success of film biographies is due not only to the actors themselves, but also to casting experts and make-up artists. Many consider the roles in biographical films to be among the most difficult and most worthwhile in Hollywood.
