It will show what was valuable and what was fleeting, what was truly talented and what was just fashion. And this applies, among other things, to humor. Every week I read in my favorite social network new funny hand-drawn stories about a resourceful coquette named Yutsika. There are hundreds of comments under each post. But these comics were published ... 60 years ago.
Yes, yes, that's right. Sketches from the life of Yucika were published in the magazine Ludas Matyi ("Gusopas Matyi" – in honor of the rogue from Hungarian folk tales, and the publication itself is an analog of our "Crocodile") from 1957 to 1970. They were drawn by the talented and bold (at that time – it's even surprising how some frames were passed by censorship) artist Pal Pustai.
All of Hungary adored his cheerful comics. Unfortunately, in the ' 70s, Pal left due to heart problems and there were no more new stories about Yutsik. However, his drawings are still regularly published in social networks. Moreover, in chronological order – as published in Ludas Matyi.
I've already told you about Yutsik once, but there have been a lot of "new" stories in recent months. I wanted to date the publication to March 8, but I was a little late. However, it's not about the holiday. Despite the fact that the heroine was invented by a man, he made her very strong and independent. Yes, a girl likes the attention of men, this is normal. At the same time, Yucika is independent, with a wide range of interests in life, and is able to stand up for herself. Yes, she is a feminist without 5 minutes!
Perhaps that is why the heroine of Pala Pustaya is still well remembered in Hungary today. And thanks to social networks and popular translations, Yutsika became known all over the world. I think it's great that they don't forget her. Many of the stories are still relevant today, some have grown old nobly and fulfill a historical mission-they show how life was in socialist Hungary in the 60s of the last century.
In general, I have prepared for you a new selection of funny situations in which the hapless Yutsika fell. The names of the stories and the inscriptions on the drawings were translated in text, so as not to violate the authentic perception of the originals published more than 60 years ago. Enjoy your viewing. And be sure to write in the comments what you liked the most.
