Emily's father David Henson is a friend of Prince Harry, a former employee of the engineering troops. In 2011, in Afghanistan, he lost both legs in an explosion, and then became a Paralympic athlete and participated, among other things, in the "Invictus Games". At the 2016 Paralympic Games, Henson won a bronze medal in the 200-meter race.
