Irish nomads grow up very early. In a unique photo book, you can find shots of very young gypsy women with bright makeup and glamorous outfits holding designer handbags in their hands, and children pretend to smoke while playing with candy cigarettes. The photos from Jamie Johnson's photo album were taken in Galway, Limerick, Gorka and Tipperary in Ireland.Since the time when the Roma people left India about 1500 years ago, they have been constantly subjected to discrimination and severe persecution. Italian photographer Marco Ponzianelli has been traveling through the Roma camps for two years and has created a unique project that reveals the culture and worldview of this ancient people.
