A passenger for 3,500 rubles flew alone in an 189-seat airliner
A regular flight from Glasgow to the Greek island of Crete turned into the most unforgettable trip of her life for Karon Grieve. The Briton became the only passenger of the 189-seat liner of the budget airline Jet2.
The 57-year-old British writer, author of cookbooks, purchased a ticket for only 46 pounds (about 3,500 rubles), and eventually spent a four-hour flight as a VIP client on board a 189-seat liner.
At check-in, the woman was told that only three people had booked tickets for the flight. However, two of her fellow travelers never showed up at the airport.
Caron especially noted that she was served at the highest level on board. The commander of the ship on the speakerphone addressed her by name, telling her about the countries over which the plane was flying. Besides, Grieve didn't even pay for lunch on board.
Jet2 is a British low-cost airline. It flies to 14 countries of the world from 10 UK airports. Representatives of the airline said that they were glad to be able to provide VIP service to the passenger, and noted that the flight was the last of the season. As explained by the Jet2 press service, minimum occupancy often happens on such flights.
