Smoking children

By Pictolic https://pictolic.com/article/smoking-children.htmlBelgian photographer Frieke Janssen created a social project "The beauty of a bad habit" ("The beauty of an ugly addiction"), in which she showed "smoking" children aged 4 to 9 years. This photo series was called scandalous, and the photographer was accused of promoting smoking. However, let's not rush to conclusions, but try to think about the problems that Fricke wanted to raise.

Fricke got the idea for the project after watching a video about a two-year-old Indonesian boy smoking 40 cigarettes a day.

With her work, the author wanted to once again draw attention to the problem of smoking and the existing double standards: on the one hand, constant anti — nicotine campaigns based on prohibitions, and on the other, propaganda of the image of a smoking person as attractive, independent and successful.

Is the anti-nicotine campaign based on bans justified? Why do there seem to be double standards in society?

Incense was used during the filming, and cigars and cigarettes were made from cheese.
