Hospitals in France: private clinic or hospital

“The food is very good in Parisian hospitals and hospitals, both private and public; and in this post I will take a tour of them.

1. Much cheaper can be done if treated in a public hospital. However, I don’t know how it is in Russia and other countries, but in France in many cases they don’t choose clinics - they choose a doctor; and it depends on him in what structure he operates.

2. Good doctors who have their own offices are not employees of clinics in the truest sense of the word. The clinic, as it were, provides its equipment to doctors, and they "rent" the area of the clinic on certain days. The employees of private clinics are staff such as nurses, cleaners, administration. But not doctors, they come there just to operate.

3. All hospitals have excellent beds. They change their shape with the help of a control panel, which the patient has at hand. There are several very different positions on the remote control, with your head up, with your legs up, and what there is just not there, like in the Kama Sutra.

6. And a very modest (compared to the next state hospital) menu. In the evening after surgery: beans, scrambled eggs, yogurt and chocolate mousse.

7. For lunch: two sausages with lentils, coleslaw, bread and applesauce. And even the sauce with vinegar after the operation was not ashamed to bring!

9. Quite another matter is the view from the Foch State Hospital in Suresnes, western sub-Paris. It is huge, with views of Paris and the Bois de Boulogne from the chambers of its eight floors.

10. All patients lie in wards on the upper floors, these are surgical departments. Here is the waiting room.

12. There are many people who want a single room for an additional fee. But you can't show off in the state ones: there are only three odnushki on the floor, and all are occupied by long-term patients. Everything else is doubles.

13. TV in every room; payment for it must be made in advance, at the time of admission to the hospital, 5 euros per day. You have to pay by 18:00. Behind the yellow doors is a locker-safe with a combination lock for each patient.

16. A shower room for two people raises more questions than in a private clinic.

17. The toilet is separate, also inside the ward.

18. Useful phone numbers on the door: you can invite a hairdresser, beautician, pedicure to the ward; get books and internet.

19. But the food! This is a large piece of tender fish with beans, a vegetable salad and, most importantly, a berry cake. But, despite the interestingness of the environment, it is better not to go to the hospital in any, even the most developed, country. Do not be ill!
