Warsaw is the capital of Poland, located in Eastern Europe on the Vistula River. The population of the city is 1.8 million people. Today, Warsaw is a mixture of diverse architectural styles. During the war, the old city was almost completely destroyed and restored only in the post-war years. In recent decades, the panorama of the city has been enriched with modern skyscrapers and business centers.

38. A wooden pedestrian bridge was built on this site in 1942, connecting the two parts of the Warsaw Ghetto (large and small ghetto). Chłodna (Cold) Street passed under the bridge, which was excluded from the ghetto due to its role as a main road. The Warsaw Ghetto is a Jewish ghetto created by the Nazis during the occupation of Poland. During the existence of the ghetto, its population decreased from 450 thousand to 37 thousand people.
