Residents of the Italian commune of Castelvetro di Modena in the Emilia-Romagna region complained that sparkling red wine was pouring from their water taps.
In the video, filmed in one of the houses of the village, you can see how red wine is pouring from the kitchen faucet at full speed, filling pots and pans with a "magic" drink. The wine got into the water supply from the local Settekani winery after a "technical malfunction" occurred in one of the bunkers there, which led to the wine getting into the water pipes.

Residents said that the pink liquid flowing out of their taps was undoubtedly the wine "Lambrusco Grasparossa" produced at the winery located next door. The local water authority quickly dispatched a team of technicians to fix everything, as residents "drained as much precious liquid as they could."

The Regional Council quickly apologized for the misunderstanding on Facebook. At the same time, some local residents complained that the problem was solved too quickly, while others expressed concern about the safety of their water supply system. The local administration has issued a statement that the wine found in the water supply does not pose a health hazard. The most enterprising villagers barely had time to fill the available containers with a foamy drink.

Modena Lambrusco is a well—known light sparkling red wine with a complex taste and history, which goes back to the Etruscan times.
