1. Josh Holloway (45)
Before the series: Studying at the University of Georgia (diploma, alas, never received), a short but very successful modeling career, culminating in admission to acting classes. Episodic roles in high-profile television projects (“Cool Walker: Justice in Texas”, “NCIS: Special Department”), the monstrous horror film “Sabretooth” and the quite worthy thriller “Frozen”, where the actor’s partner was the legendary Nastassja Kinski.
After the series: Two very large advertising contracts (toilet water and ice cream) and several big-budget Hollywood projects (among them - "Mission: Impossible: Ghost Protocol" with Tom Cruise and "Paranoia" with Harrison Ford), in which, however, the actor had very unremarkable roles. Critics believe that Holloway's finest hour, according to Hollywood time, is still ahead. As for his personal life, fans can be calm: the actor has been married to Indonesian Jessica Kumala for 10 years, with whom he is raising a son and daughter.
2. Evangeline Lilly (34)
Before the series: High school with in-depth study of French, work as a waitress, flight attendant courses and a very short-lived modeling career. She managed to light up in the series "Lizzy Maguire", "Back from the Dead" and "Secrets of Smallville", as well as star in the horror film "Freddy vs. Jason".
After the series: Fully-fledged Hollywood career: "Hostage of Death" (with John Malkovich), "The Hurt Locker" (with Jeremy Renner), "Real Steel" with Hugh Jackman. And, of course, the role of Tauriel in the franchise about the adventures of the Hobbit, which brought Lilly a bunch of movie awards. Lives in a civil marriage with cameraman Norman Kali, with whom he is raising his son Kahekili. In 2013, she made her debut in the literary field: her fairy tale story called The Squickerwonkers was published in the USA and Canada.
3. Matthew Fox (48)
Before the series: The Department of Economics of one of the most prestigious institutions of higher education on the planet - Columbia University. Fox, as we now see, traded the economy for an acting career. Several commercials, a quite worthy rom-com with Matthew McConaughey "My Boyfriend Is Risen" and, finally, the main role in the series "Five of Us" - the most popular teenage television project in America in the second half of the 90s, which became the winner of the "Golden Globe".
After the series: Nothing interesting: just a couple of high-profile Hollywood projects (including the blockbuster "World War Z" with Brad Pitt) and a whole series of scandals. In 2011, the actor, being tipsy, beat a woman. In 2012, yesterday's sex symbol was arrested for drunk driving ... In addition, according to the tabloids, Matthew's 23-year-old marriage to Margarita Ronchi is bursting at the seams. Only a new agent can save Fox's career now. Or a new woman. Or a lucky break.
4. Naveen Andrews (45)
Before the series: Studying at the prestigious London Guildhall School of Music and Drama, after which the young actor of Indian origin began to be invited to both “ethnic” TV dramas (“Suburban Buddha”) and large-scale Hollywood projects (“The English Patient”). And the actor spent almost two years fighting alcohol addiction - and for more than 12 years he has not taken a drop in his mouth.
After the series: Low-budget American and British film projects, one of the main roles in the British TV series "Sinbad" and in the American - "Once Upon a Time in Wonderland." In the unsuccessful biopic with Naomi Watts, Diana played the famous Dr. Hasat Khan. The actor has a son, with whose mother, French actress Elena Eustaphia, he, alas, is divorced.
5. Jorge Garcia (41)
Before the series: Diploma from the University of California, where the future actor studied the basics of communication and sociology, two years of stand-up in California clubs, a minor role in the sitcom Becker, which was popular in the early 2000s, and an episodic role as a drug addict in the HBO comedy project Curb Your Enthusiasm - thanks to the last oversized Jorge and got into "Lost".
After the series: For starters, the status of a cult actor. Not only can you find hundreds of sites dedicated to Jorge on the Internet, in 2010 the American alternative Weezer devoted an entire album to Garcia (more precisely, Hurley - his character from Lost) an entire album. Today, Jorge is filming both in popular TV shows (Hawaii 5.0, Once Upon a Time) and in high-profile Hollywood projects: in early 2015, he can be seen in the comedy Get a Job with Anna Kendrick and Bryan Cranston.
6. Kim Yoon-jin (40)
Before the series: The Seoul native studied acting not only at the famed LaGuardia High School in Manhattan, but also at Boston University. Years of work in small theater troupes in New York and ... returning to their historical homeland - there the fate of the star of television series and action movies awaited the actress. After watching one of them, Yesterday, the ABC producers decide to offer Kim the role of Sung Kwon.
After the series: A full-time film career in South Korea (up to three projects a year) and one of the main roles in the American TV series Mistresses, where Alyssa Milano became her partner. A couple of years ago I bought a house in Hawaii for myself and my husband.
7. Terry O'Quinn (62)
Before the series: Years of study at two institutions of higher education at once - the University of Michigan and the University of Iowa. Years with the Baltimore Theater Company. An impressive filmography that includes the titles of films such as The Young Guns, Primal Fear and Ghosts of the Mississippi. Plus a small but important role in the fantasy series "Spy".
Post-series: Locke's role on Lost earned O'Quinn an Emmy and made him one of the most popular television actors of our time. Terry's latest project, launched in May 2014, is the police drama Crime Links. In 2012, the actor divorced his wife Lori, with whom he lived for more than 30 years, and currently lives in an apartment in Manhattan - in the company of the Labrador Spini.
8. Daniel Dae Kim (45)
Before the series: A native of Busan, South Korea, and a graduate of the prestigious Haverford College, for almost 15 years he played Asian doctoral professors in almost all important US television shows - from Law and Order and Beverly Hills, 90210 to Ally McBill and " Enchanted". In 2001, he was invited to the mystical series Angel as a lawyer named Gavin Park, and in 2003, to the crime drama 24, to play federal agent Tom Baker.
After the series: One of the main roles in the popular television project "Hawaii 5.0", minor roles in high-profile Hollywood projects (in the spring of 2015 he can be seen in the continuation of the teenage blockbuster "Divergent"), active charitable work. Together with his wife, Mia, he has two children.
