To reach the heavens in Dutch: how the last wishes of terminally ill people are fulfilled

Ten years ago, an ambulance driver in Amsterdam, Kees Veldboer, transported a retired sailor from one hospital to another. When they arrived at the scene, they were told that the ward was not ready. Upon learning about this, the patient asked Kisa not to take him back to the hospital where he had spent the last months. When asked what he wanted to do, the sailor replied that he would like to take one last look at the water on the Vlardingen Canal. Kis Veldboer complied with his request. And so the idea was born to create a charitable organization that would fulfill the last wishes of terminally ill people. Over time, Kisa and his wife had assistants, transport and the necessary medical equipment.

We offer you just a few examples of the last wishes, the fulfillment of which the organization Stichting Ambulance Wens Nederland brought peace and tranquility to the souls of dying people.
