On January 27, 1944, as a result of Operation January Thunder, the complete lifting of the siege of Leningrad was completed.

1. Ropsha 1944/2013. Soviet soldiers at the Ropshinsky Palace.

Ropsha was liberated from the Nazis on January 19, 1944.

On January 20, 1944, a meeting of the Leningrad Front troops advancing from the Oranienbaum bridgehead and from the Pulkovo Heights took place in the Ropsha area.

2. Peterhof 1944/2012. Soviet cavalry patrol in the Lower Park.

Peterhof was liberated on January 19, 1944.

3. Pushkin 1944/2013. The battle for the Alexandrovskaya station.

Pushkin and Pavlovsk were liberated from the Nazi occupation on January 24, 1944.

Leningrad was completely liberated from the blockade on January 27, 1944.

8. On January 27, 1944, at 20:00, Leningrad saluted with 24 volleys from 324 guns in honor of the complete lifting of the blockade. It was the only salute during the war that was not made in Moscow.
