The theory of bullying: what have suffered wife of albert Einstein

Today marks 138 years since the birth of the great theoretical physicist albert Einstein. Like many other geniuses, Einstein was, shall we say, eccentric. And in relationships with women and altogether unbearable. The scientist was twice married and both women were soon held hostage to their feelings than by music. They had to put up with terrible insistence of a spouse, abuse and infidelity. But in spite of that, they were utterly devoted to her husband.

His first wife Einstein met while studying at the Polytechnic school. Mileva Maric was 21, he — 17. According to contemporaries, this person was totally devoid of charm, limping on one leg, was very jealous and prone to depression.

Obviously, this type was albert a good choice. Although his parents were strongly against marriage with a Serbian immigrant, a young scientist decided to marry. His letters to Maric was charred from the passion: "I lost my mind, die, burning love and desire. The pillow on which you sleep, a hundred times happier in my heart!"

But before to go under the crown, Einstein began to kink. When in 1902, Mileva gave birth to a girl, the groom insisted on giving it to the care of the childless relatives "in connection with material difficulties." That Einstein had a daughter Liserl only became known in 1997 when his grandchildren sold at auction personal letters physics.

The tone of the letters is also changed. In one of them she found a kind of job description:

— first, you'll take care of my clothes and bed; — second, bring me back three times a day, going to my office; — third, you refuse all personal contact with me, except those necessary to decency in society; — fourthly, always, when I ask you this, are you going to leave my bedroom and study; — fifth, without a word of protest you're going to perform for me scientific calculations; — sixth, you will not expect from me any feelings.

However, Maric was so in love with albert (he was a person very, very attractive) that has agreed to accept this "Manifesto". Shortly after the wedding in the family Einstein had a son Hans, and after six years, Edward (he was born with disabilities and ended his days in a psychiatric hospital). To these children the scientist was already treated with warmth and attention.

But the relationship with his wife was solid absurd. A physicist has been very Kotlin to intrigue on the side, and claims on this occasion were taken as insults. He took fashion to lock himself in his office, and sometimes the couple did not speak for several days. The last straw was the letter in which Einstein Mileva demanded that she refused any intimacy with him. In the summer of 1914 the woman took the children and moved from Berlin to Zurich.

The marriage lasted three more years. Mileva agreed to a divorce only after the husband promised to give her the money owed the Nobel prize-winner (that prize will not pass the academic side, both of them no doubt). To honor Einstein, he kept his word, and in 1921 sent the ex-wife received 32 thousand dollars.

Three months after the divorce, albert married again his cousin Elsa, who had recently motherly lovingly cared for him during his illness. Einstein agreed to adopt two girls from a previous marriage of Elsa, and in the first years reigned in the house idyll.

However, long remain faithful to traditional family values, Einstein could not. His loving nature is relentlessly pushed him to new adventures. Surprisingly, and Elsa found the strength to subdue in himself the jealousy. Truly, love is a powerful force.

Women's health undermined the death of her eldest daughter. In 1936, she died at the hands of her husband. He himself by that time was no longer a boy, and effort (and maybe desire) to the new marriage already was not.
