PictolicEvery gambler dreams of finding a pattern, a system that will help them win constantly. Very rarely, but such systems appear, and then their creator becomes the casino's thunderstorm. This is exactly what happened to the Spaniard Gonzalo Garcia-Pelayo, who, based on accurate mathematical calculations, learned to win at roulette.
Spaniard Gonzalo Garcia-Pelayo has been attracted to gambling since childhood. At the same time, as a young man, he was sure that winning was not a gift of fortune, but an event that could be described by mathematical formulas. Perhaps that is why Gonzalo entered the University at the Faculty of Mathematics after school.
However, after receiving a degree in mathematics, Garcia-Pelayo did not work in his specialty. He found himself in the cinema, having worked for many years as a sound engineer, and then as a producer. Of course, he remained a gambling man and regularly played in the casino. Success in this case was variable — the Spaniard could not get rich at the expense of the casino.
When Gonzalo was already over 40, he decided that the time had come. He thought about how to make the laws of mathematics, to which he had once devoted years, finally bring income. In order not to be sprayed, the man decided to study the work of roulette. It seems that there is no place for patterns in this gaming device. Each of the 37 roulette holes is on its own and a ball can get into it at any time.
But Garcia-Pelayo didn't think so. He knew that there is no perfect reel and every roulette has its own predispositions. To determine which numbers most often fall on a particular device, it was necessary to carefully study the statistics. Therefore, Gonzalo began to visit the casino even more often than before, but not to play.
The man sat down a little apart from the players and wrote down the numbers that fell out in a notebook. To understand the system, it was necessary to spend a huge amount of time and study dozens of roulette tables in Madrid casinos. Fortunately, Garcia-Pelayo was a father with many children and five of his offspring joined the work. They also watched and recorded as a father.
After analyzing the records, the mathematician found the weak point of the Madrid casino roulette. He was able to develop a strategy that, although not guaranteed to win, but significantly increased his chances. After that, Gonzalo went to play. I must say that the first results stunned him — the man often won a lot.
The lucky gambler was quickly noticed by the casino staff, and soon the Madrid gambling establishments closed their doors to him. But Gonzalo Garcia-Pelayo was not discouraged. He went on a trip to Europe, and when he got used to the casinos of the Old World, he went on tour to the USA. There the Spaniard settled in Las Vegas and began to beat the establishments of Sin City.
This could not last long, and the casino owners sued the lucky guy. They accused Gonzalo of fraud and demanded to return the money, and punish the culprit. But the investigation showed that there was no corpus delicti in the actions of the Spaniard. He did not deceive anyone, but simply studied different roulettes and found their weaknesses.
The court fully acquitted Garcia-Pelayo, and ordered the casino to carefully monitor the condition of the equipment. Gonzalo and his family became famous, and for a long time they were exhausted from the attention of journalists. In 2012, the movie "Kings of Roulette" was made about the casino storm. Later, the hero himself wrote a book in which he told his story. It became a bestseller and brought the gambler's family much more money than roulette winnings.
