China Mobile Hong Kong and Huawei have installed an antenna on the highest mountain — Everest. The antenna in disassembled condition was delivered there on yaks. The developers of the new technology claim that with the help of the 5G network, the activities of climbers and scientists on the highest peak of the Earth will change radically.A 5G tower was installed on Everest, delivering an 8-ton structure with the help of yaks. The antenna at an altitude of 6500 meters was placed by China Mobile Hong Kong and Huawei.
China Mobile Hong Kong (CMHK) has announced a joint installation on Facebook. The organizers say that in this way they will be able to improve communication for climbers who will be able to broadcast online in 8K resolution and communicate with relatives and friends on the 5G network.
Climbing Everest is a very dangerous and difficult event. Many climbers who ventured on a hike to the highest point of the planet remained forever lying under the snow cover.
