The most beautiful woman of the 1960s, nicknamed the Big Bust — Gina Lollobrigida

Gina Lollobrigida was born on July 4, 1927 in a poor family with many children. Her half-starved childhood was very difficult, but from a very young age the girl was fond of drawing and singing. Already in her youth, she stood out for her bold sensual beauty. The girl worked as a model, starred in cameo roles in movies. In 1947, Gina took part in the Miss Italy contest and took third place and began her dizzying career.

Luigina (or Gina) Lollobrigida in the early 1960s was one of the main European actresses and an international sex symbol: only Brigitte Bardot in France and Sophia Loren in Italy competed with her.

Learning that "lollo" in French means "big bust", Lollobrigida saw this as a sign, and the nickname La Lollo was fixed for her. The rivalry between Lollobrigida and Sophia Loren in the Italian media was even called a "war of busts": the audience could not decide which of the buxom actresses was more beautiful and talented. 

When Lauren said that the competitor's breasts are silicone, she was outraged and offered to publicly expose herself so that people would choose the winner themselves. The dispute was never resolved — and now the elderly actresses, perhaps, are no longer up to it, and we have to choose the best one only from classic photos of beauties.
