She gave up a successful career in the fashion industry and an established life in New York, gathered a team of enthusiasts and went to Bali to revolutionize the construction of housing.
Elora took over the idea of building houses from bamboo from her father, who considered bamboo the most promising material for the construction of residential buildings. "When I saw a bamboo house being built six years ago, I thought that I would like to live in such a house myself," says the architect.
Our editorial staff would also love to live in such a house. Just look at this eco-friendly masterpiece.
1. According to the architect, bamboo is ideal for creating a home, because it can be compared with steel in strength and at the same time it resumes very quickly. The only drawback is that bamboo is eaten away by insects, but this problem can be solved if it is treated with a special substance.
