But for five-year-old Danielle Koning, it was the courtroom that became the most luxurious place in the world. When she arrived at her adoption hearing, she found herself not in a stuffy room with a crowd of serious people in business suits, but in a hall full of Disney princesses.
A happy little girl from Grand Rapids (Michigan, USA) has been living with her adoptive parents Sarah and Jim Koning since 2014, and last week the family attended the final court hearings on the completion of the adoption. To make this day as special as possible, the social worker responsible for the adoption suggested that all participants in the hearing dress up in costumes of Disney characters. And, as you can see, everything turned out very cool as a result. Even the judge took part in this impromptu masquerade!

"It's a wonderful day. Hearings are always a special moment in life: children now have real families. And the way they go tells about the love and mercy that our social workers have," says Laura Mitchell, executive director of the Samaritas Foster Care Program, a company that supports adoption issues.
