German urologist Dr. Klaus Kraft died in 1988 at the age of 78, and the once luxurious house in Bad Wildungen, in the north of Hesse, in which he lived and worked, has remained untouched for almost 30 years. In his operating room, dusty alcohol-soaked kidneys, rusting instruments of an intimidating appearance and a moldy examination chair are still stored.

No one knows exactly why the house was abandoned. According to some reports, Kraft's widow rented out the clinic to other doctors after his death, while she continued to live on the second floor. However, it is not known for certain whether the operating room was used after the doctor's death and how all medical devices and even medicines were preserved in it.
