Paintings by Japanese artist Chie Yoshii (Chie Yoshii) resemble paintings by Flemish masters. The author has an excellent command of composition, color and shadows, creating beautiful female portraits. Artist Chiyo Yoshii was born in 1974 in the city of Kochi on the island of Shikoku in Japan. Until 2000, she lived and worked in her homeland, and then moved to the USA. First, Chie received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Massachusetts College of Art, and since 2002 became a student of the realist artist Adrian Gottlieb. But Yoshii did not follow in the footsteps of the teacher and chose another direction for herself — surrealism.

Since 2008, Chie Yoshii's paintings have been exhibited in galleries around the world. They have been shown at the Dorothy Circus Gallery in Italy, the Urban Nation Gallery in Germany, Thinkspace in Los Angeles and William Baczek Fine Arts in Northampton, Massachusetts. Yoshii now lives and works in Los Angeles.
