Stunning pictures from the winners of the "Weather of the year"

First place went to the picture of Wu Chung Juan from Vietnam "Tea hills", which depicts a foggy hills right in front of a beautiful sunrise.
A popular contest which is now in its fifth year and is held in conjunction with AccuWeather, has collected more than 7700 participants from around the world.

From pictures of weather phenomena such as clouds, lightning, rain, fog and snow, to the impact of weather on people, the city and the natural landscape — the competition this year was tough.

More than 2,600 photographers submitted images put before the jury a difficult task. The winner Rudolf said:

This was seconded by judge Jesse Ferrell, the expert meteorologist with AccuWeather and social networks:

Other judges were Gareth Mon Jones, winner of the Weather Photographer of the Year 2019, and Matt Clark, editor of the journal RMetS Weather.

Best photographer of the weather of 2020 for beginners and creators at the age of 17 years and younger was a 17-year-old Stefania S. Kolesnik from Russia with Frozen image of Life, which depicts a frozen sheet.

The shortlist of 26 images was put up for public voting, and the vast majority of votes were cast 11 275 votes for finalists from 15 countries.
