He creates his own complex and beautiful world using the simplest tools: pens, pencils, liners. The artist prefers to create black and white sketches and is very reluctant to add color to his work. But fans of his talent adore Rosanes' "extreme coloring" and willingly spend time "improving" them with colored pencils and markers.
Until 2014, Kerby Rosanes worked as a graphic designer in a large company. He created advertising images, business cards and illustrations. But one day, he quit everything and decided to go his own way. The work prevented the artist from developing, and he decided to take a risk.
Needless to say, the talented sketch artist and illustrator has not been left without orders. As a freelancer, Kirby always has enough clients who set him extraordinary and interesting tasks. Now the artist treats his work as a hobby. His skills are recognized in many countries around the world, and his paintings can be seen at the most prestigious exhibitions of design and graphics.
Today, Rosanes is no longer limited to illustrations and sketches. He creates fantastic murals on walls, designs T-shirts, shoes and even cars. Graphic artists are invited to participate in the creation of fiction and scientific books, as well as comics.
Kerby Rosanes has published 11 original fiction books. One of them, The New York Times bestseller Animorphia, published in 2015, has been translated into 30 languages and is available in 40 countries.
Similar paintings are created by the Dutch artist Redmer Hoekstra, whose works are called “mind-blowing”.
