More than two thousand photos from all over the world were sent to the contest, from which several of the best works were selected.

1st place: a human skin cell with a large amount of keratin highlighted inside it.
2nd place: macrophoto of the flower of the common krestovnik. 2-fold magnification.
3rd place: the release of a new colony of volvox algae from the shell of the mother cell.
4th place: the head of a tapeworm of the type of pork tapeworm (Taenia solium).
5th place: mold on a tomato.
6th place: lily pollen spores.
7th place: a part of the chicken embryo's brain, "colored" using the brainbow neuroimaging method, which is based on the introduction of fluorescent proteins into the animal genome.
8th place: hair cells (red) and neurons (green) in the cochlea (part of the inner ear) of a rat.
9th place: cultivation of cartilage tissue in the laboratory using bone stem cells (green "balls" — collagen fibers, red — fat deposits).
10th place: mating weevils (Phyllobius roboretanus).
11th place: the place where the hologram breaks on the plastic card.
12th place: the eye of the haymaker spider.
13th place: the cuckoo bee Exaerete frontalis, lays eggs in the nests of other bee species.
14th place: butterfly eggs on a leaf.
15th place: bat embryo.
