Armies of computers installed in warehouses and former industrial facilities devour electricity around the clock so that the treasured cryptocurrency drips onto the wallets of their owners. The everyday life of the workers of one of these "farms" in the north-west of the province was captured by photographer Liu Xingzhe.
The "farm" (with a blue roof) is located next to a small hydroelectric power station.
A mountain of packaging material from video cards is piled near the cooling system.
There are plenty of boxes in the dormitory where the workers live.
