In 1857 the writer Alexander Sibiryakov traveled to the Far East of Russia. In the Amur region, the writer met with the owner of the copper and gold mines Sergei Petrovich Lisitsin. After hearing the amazing story of this man of Siberians, I decided to write a book about him, called "Russian Robinson".

It was spring, and men together built a new house and the bath house, plowed a few fields, in the summer, gathered the first harvest. If Robinson Crusoe by Daniel Defoe threatened cannibals, and pirates, the Russian survivalist prevented Chinese smugglers. Lisitsyn and his aides fought off several bandit raids. Because of Chinese threats, they were forced to build a boat and go to sea.

"Robinsons" came out to the ship and was saved by a Russian ship. From the previous arrogant and cocky hussar not gone. Sergey Petrovich was reborn and became a devout hard-working man, who all his life was friends with a simple peasant Vasili and his son.
