It was included in the Guinness Book of Records due to the unique elasticity of the skin. This innate feature made the man famous all over the world. Find out why his skin can stretch incredibly, from our material.
A man with the most elastic skin in the world can pull his neck over his face and vice versa. Because of a rare condition called Ehlers-Danlos syndrome. In this diagnosis, the connective tissues of the skin, internal organs and ligaments are affected.
Thanks to this strange feature, Harry can pull the skin on his stomach by almost 16 cm. Collagen, which gives the skin elasticity, is damaged, which makes the skin more loose, and the joints-hyper-mobile. In complicated cases, this condition can even lead to a fatal outcome or rupture of blood vessels.
The Briton says that the best skin stretches in those places where it is most-on the stomach, neck, arms. He does not feel pain at all when pulling the skin, but often suffers from painful sensations in the joints.
Turner became the record holder in 1999, and still holds his title. The "Rubber Man" can stretch the skin on the abdomen and chest so that it appears as if the nipples are disappearing. However, the man can not do this with the hands and feet, because there is not enough skin tissue.
An unusual feature Harry noticed as a child. He was born in 1971, and was diagnosed at the age of 13. Now the man is acting in a TV show and playing football. Due to illness, he had to quit his job at a construction company. The Briton had bleeding and bruises, which had to be treated for a very long time.
In 2014, Harry starred in the fantasy film "He Took His Skin Off for Me" ("He Took His Skin Off for Me"), playing a guy who takes off and gives his skin to the girl he loves.
People with unique body features continue to add to the Guinness Book of Records. The 63-year-old Indian woman, who has 31 fingers and toes, also won the honorary title.
