Results-2015: the most ridiculous crimes

Don't believe the movies—most criminals aren't geniuses at all. Of course, there are some characters who deliberately systematically violate the law, earn millions and remain at large. But these are only exceptions — most often people go to the stupidest crimes, and they are immediately arrested.

Today we remember with warmth those jerks who wanted the best, but it turned out as always in this unfair real world.

10. Selfie of a fugitive criminal

In tenth place is not very smart Nicholas Grove. He escaped from a state prison in Idaho (USA) by making a tunnel under the enclosing wall. He might still be on the run if it weren't for the curse of social media. Facebook Instagram Grove not only posted the photo, but also posted about his escape on Facebook. He was arrested in a recreation area in Mexico in November 2015.

9. A man strangled his wife for insulting IndyCar

David Wilson from Indiana (USA) was having fun with his wife in Indianapolis until she said something, in his opinion, unforgivable. She stated that Nascar is better than IndyCar. Then hubby began to strangle her until she broke free and called the rescue service.

8. A shot at yourself out of curiosity

This guy is either hiding something, or extremely stupid. Thirty-year-old Adam Hirtle from Colorado was arrested for improper handling of a weapon after he shot himself in the leg to understand how the person who is being shot feels. The police were called by neighbors who heard a shot from Hirtle's garage.

7. A drunk without pants

What could be better than a day on the beach that you meet drunk? Robert Sweeney was arrested for loitering on a Florida beach in a white jacket, white shirt and white shoes, but without underwear and pants, dead drunk. When he was detained, he asked: "What's wrong? I'm going on business, looking for my pants."

6. Jesus will pay for everything

American April Lee Yates left without paying her $26 bill at a fish restaurant in Myrtle Beach (South Carolina). She refused to pay for dinner, saying that she had no money and Jesus would pay for her. Nice try, but no.

5. An old man doused a teenager with a bucket of urine

In the small world of Carlton Weatherford at the age of 84, everything was going according to plan until a thirteen-year-old boy burst in. The thug made a mess in poor Carlton's front yard, he couldn't stand it and poured a whole bucket of urine on the bastard. He was detained for causing damage. I'm willing to bet that since then, not a single boy has come even close to Mr. Weatherford's front yard.

4. A person is arrested for not wanting to leave prison

Arizona resident David Sparlock was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, but he was jailed for a short time. After his release, Sparlock refused to leave prison. He was kicked out of the prison building, but David did not lose his head and stole a minibus with frozen food for prisoners. So he safely returned to the bunks that had become close to his heart. Maybe it's all meth, or maybe Sparlock is just a dumbass.

3. A drunk driver asked a child to drive a car

46-year-old New Yorker John Barling was so drunk that he asked his ten-year-old son to take him home, as a result, the car got into an accident. When the police arrived at the scene, the child could barely be seen in the couple's club, Barling was in the next seat. He was accused of endangering a child, of a misdemeanor and allowing a person without a license to drive a car.

2. A woman stole a police car in which her husband was

A loving wife will do anything for her husband. Josh Wetford is very lucky in this sense. He was arrested for drunk driving, the police only managed to handcuff him and put him in the car. Josh's wife Amber stole a car and fled. She was arrested for theft. Now Josh will be able to visit his wife in prison, because his wife's guilt was more serious, and he was not imprisoned.

1. The ambush of a fake policeman

Nineteen-year-old Logan Shaulis set up a fake police post at 4 a.m. and stopped drunk drivers. No one was alarmed that his own car was parked across the road, and Logan stopped cars with burning torches. But the worst thing is that Shaulis was drunk, critically drunk, so drunk that when he asked for documents and a license from another driver, he dropped them, and then began poking at the driver with an air pistol and said, "I can't handle it." He was detained for a whole bunch of violations, of course. But it wasn't very funny for the police.
